Inter president Beppe Marotta received the Volti della Metropoli Award at Palazzo Marino this morning. During the meeting, Marotta spoke to ALANews about this evening's Champions League match against Club Brugge, underlining the importance of the match for the Nerazzurri club. "It's an important match for us, like all Champions League matches. We will face it with the utmost respect for the opponent, but with the desire to obtain a positive result", declared the president.
In addition, he mentioned Inter's future stadium, recalling the speech given in the assembly the previous day. “What I announced yesterday is that, as soon as possible, what will be the stadium of the future will be presented by Milan and Inter,” explained Marotta, making it clear that the construction of a new facility is already being defined.
Regarding the recognition received, Marotta expressed gratitude, calling it "one of the most significant awards I have been fortunate enough to receive". He then explained that the Metropolis Faces Observatory aims to safeguard a social aspect, enhancing the city of Milan and going beyond traditional sports awards, to highlight a human value of great importance.
Inter, which is preparing to play against Brugge in the Champions League, aims to obtain a positive result, while at the same time continuing to work on the project for a new stadium which, according to the president, will be presented as soon as possible in collaboration with Milan. The club remains focused on the present and the future, with the hope of consolidating its position both in Italy and in Europe.
