At the opening of the match between Naples and Venice, the Venetian defender JuanJesus spoke to DAZN's microphones to share his impressions of the match and the team's plans. The player highlighted the importance of the role of the new coach, Nicola Stroppa, stating that he received a "very important impact" from the coach, who gave the group a motivational boost.
According to Jesus, Stroppa didn't just give a mental boost: "The charge he gives us is not just mental, it's hard not to win and stay away from the others." The defender underlined the trust in the group and saw the match as an opportunity to change course. “I believe in the group and today is a good opportunity to turn the page,” he declared, referring to the need to improve the club's performance in SerieA.
The player also recalled the bond with his former teammate, Rrahmani, and reiterated his determination to give his all for Venezia. “Today I defend other colors and I will give 100% to make history here as I did in Naples,” he said, making a clear comparison with the success experienced in the past at the Neapolitan club. Jesus closed his speech with a decisive tone, highlighting the objective of writing a new page in the history of the Venetian club.
In the broader context of the season, Venezia recently appointed Stroppa as their new captain, while the club continued to work on strengthening the defense. Jesus' interview comes at a time when the team is trying to consolidate their position in the table and avoid the relegation zone. The defender's motivational message was received positively by the fans, who are hoping for a turnaround in form for the team.
Looking ahead, Venezia will face a number of challenges both home and away. The club aims to maintain the cohesion of the group and take advantage of the energy transmitted by Stroppa to obtain positive results in the next matches. With JuanJesus' promise to give 100% in every match, the team hopes to transform the energy they have just received into concrete victories, aiming to stabilize themselves in the top half of the table and build a solid foundation for the following seasons.
