The LaLiga Disciplinary Committee has imposed a financial fine on FCBarcelona after the throwing of objects during last Sunday's Clásico. The incident occurred in the 87th minute, when, after KylianMbappé's second goal, a bottle of water and a can of soda were thrown from the Gol Nord stands, where fans of the local team predominated. According to the referee's report JuanMartínezMunuera, none of the objects hit a player, but phase 1 of the object throwing protocol was activated and a warning was issued over the public address system, which caused the match to be suspended until the protocol was completed.
The sanction is considered minor, in accordance with article 117 of the Disciplinary Code, and the club may face a fine of up to €602; If it is classified as medium grade, the amount would be €301. The file also includes an additional case: several fans allegedly touched the flagpole above Juan Camavinga's head while the Real Madrid players were celebrating the goal. LaLiga has opened a disciplinary process to analyze this fact.
With the fine and the file open, Barcelona must pay the determined amount and attend to the investigations into the incident with Camavinga. The club has not issued any official comment, and the next phase of the disciplinary process will determine whether further sanctions will be added.
