Udinese have taken a step back in the season, but midfielder OierZarraga expressed optimism, saying the team can still turn around if they remain united.
The player, interviewed by TV12, recalled that the initial goal was a "good season", very different from the current one. Despite the unsatisfactory start, Zarraga underlines that the previous year was positive and that there are still elements of hope.
Zarraga highlighted defeats "due to naive mistakes" as the most damaging, citing the match against Lecce as a bad but understandable performance, while the defeat against Cagliari remains difficult to explain. He also criticized the avoidable goals, which "hurt" and which seem to prevent the club from reacting. The midfielder reiterated that if the team stops believing they can reverse the difficulties, the situation will get worse.
The player also spoke of his hopes of returning to positive performances, highlighting his ability to adapt to different formations. In pre-season Udinese tried both three and four defense, using experienced players in multiple roles. “First of all we have to give everything we have inside,” he said, “then the victory will come.”
Finally, Zarraga recalled that it has never been his problem to lose six games in a row and asked everyone to do their best for Udinese, for Parma and to get the three points. With a team tone, he concluded that the future depends on the cohesion and commitment of all the players.
