Juventus is determined to strengthen its attacking team in this winter's transfer window. According to a report from Italian media outlet Tuttosport, the club is considering signing Monaco's American forward Folarin Balogun as their top priority in order to make up for their current lack of scoring ability.
Juventus, who are content with a record of four wins, two draws, and three losses in Serie A this season, have scored 11 goals in 14 games, but it has been pointed out that they lack players with the attributes of a pure center forward. The club is rushing to sign a new forward as Randall Kolo Muani and Nick Waltmade have not been able to fully fulfill their roles.
Balogun, 25, made his first-team debut in October 2020 after coming through Arsenal's youth ranks. He played just two games in the Premier League and 95 for Monaco, scoring 31 goals and providing 13 assists. He had 12 goals and five assists in 31 games for the U.S. national team, and had three goals and one assist at the 2026 World Cup. The latest transfer talks come as both Monaco and the player are considering a move this winter after his deal with Everton broke down.
Besides Balogun, Juventus are also interested in Atlético Madrid's Norwegian striker Alexander Cerloth and Italian forward Antonio Raimondo, who is currently on loan at Frosinone from Bologna. Raimondo has scored seven goals in league games this season and could help improve the club's attacking power.
As for future developments, if Balogun's transfer is confirmed, he will be an immediate addition to Juventus' attack line, but negotiations with other candidates are also progressing at the same time. The club is looking to move up in Serie A and is closely monitoring developments in the winter transfer window.
