Luciano Spalletti issued a strong warning to Juventus after the 1-1 draw with Cagliari, underlining that the team must demonstrate that it can do more. The coach expressed concern about the lack of competitive spirit and concentration which, according to him, prevents the team from transforming its playing production into concrete results.
The message was revealed by TuttoSport and focuses on three key points. Firstly, Spalletti highlighted the need for personal growth, more vigor and greater aggression in decisive moments. Secondly, he called for a stronger commitment from the players, particularly regarding the ability to maintain concentration and take advantage of opportunities that arise. Finally, the coach reiterated the importance of a winning mentality, which includes precision, solidity and determination in winning the three points.
The management tried to allay the manager's concerns, promising the arrival of a new number 9 in the January transfer window to fill the shortage of strikers. Spalletti also indicated that the next match against Celta Vigo will be an opportunity to rotate the squad and give new life to the team, taking advantage of the possibility of testing different attacking combinations.
Despite the intense calendar, with eight matches in just over twenty days, Spalletti declared that Juventus will return to working on the double striker structure, which was temporarily suspended after the defeat against the Sardinians. The immediate objective is to restore fluidity of movement and continuity of results, avoiding compromising the race for the rankings with empty passes.
The coach also underlined the importance of the European competition, stating that the large spaces of the European stage can prove favorable for unlocking the offensive potential of individual players, from Kolo Muani to Woltemade, up to Nico González. For Spalletti, the performance in Sardinia is not to be thrown away, but "more is needed", and Juventus must work to develop a winning mentality that will allow them to win the points necessary to achieve the objectives of the season.
