Paris Saint‑Germain have reiterated that they have no offensive reinforcements planned for the winter transfer window, ruling out interest in young Algerian attacking midfielder Ibrahim Maza. The Parisian club, while acknowledging Maza's impressive performances with Bayer Leverkusen and the growth he has shown in the Algerian national team, stated that his future does not include a move to PSG by January.
The decision was confirmed by coach Luis Enrique, who underlined that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament does not automatically justify the purchase of new players. “An injury does not change the club's strategy,” he explained, highlighting that PSG prefers to maintain the current structure and is not willing to intervene to fill any gaps in attack. According to RMC Sport sources, the club will not present any offer for Maza during the January session, considering him not a priority for the next phase.
PSG, however, continues to monitor the market and remains open to any opportunities that meet the criteria of a young talent with room for growth and a cost that is still accessible. Currently, the team relies mainly on internal resources, in particular Mika Godts, who has already proven his worth by scoring his first goal for PSG in the victory against Lyon. Godts is seen as the backbone of the club's attacking strategy, and his development is considered crucial for the season.
Meanwhile, Maza continues his journey in Leverkusen, where he has already achieved three goals and three assists in ten appearances, confirming the qualities that have attracted the attention of the big European teams. Although his talent is widely recognised, PSG have decided not to include him in their offensive reinforcement strategy for the time being, instead focusing on consolidating the existing squad and developing players like Godts.
