MilutinOsmajic, the Montenegrin striker who made headlines in England for his suspensions, is now a key figure at Genoa, where he has already scored four goals in a season in which the club is in the recovery zone.
In the Premier League, Osmajic was remembered more for his long suspensions than his performances on the pitch. In 2024 he received an eight-match ban after biting Blackburn's OwenBeck, accompanied by a £15,000 fine. Its availability only returned in November of that year. Subsequently, on 15 February 2025, he was accused of making racist comments towards Burnley midfielder Hannibal Mejbri. Despite the player's defence, the Sports Disciplinary Tribunal ruled on the preponderance of probabilities, concluding that the allegations had merit and imposed a nine-match ban.
These events have left an impressive trail of controversy for Osmajic, but have also highlighted his ability to recover and return to fitness. After his exit from England, the center forward was purchased by Genoa, where he was presented as a "revelation" by coach DeRossi. The club, which is currently in tenth position in the championship, has found in Osmajic a striker capable of creating chances and scoring, helping to improve the table.
Over the course of the season, the attacker has already scored four goals, demonstrating that he can be a point of reference in Genoa's attacking phase. His presence gave the club a new tactical structure, allowing them to exploit his speed and his sense of goal. Despite initial difficulties, Osmajic managed to quickly integrate into the team and earn the trust of his teammates and coaching staff.
Osmajic's future at Genoa looks promising. With the season still underway, the club aims to consolidate its position in SerieA and avoid relegation. For the player, the challenge will be to continue to score and demonstrate that, despite past controversies, he is a reliable and determined attacker. Genoa, with its new strength in attack, is preparing to fight to improve its position and make the most of Osmajic's talent in the next matches.
