Venezia has made official the dismissal of Giovanni Stroppa, the coach who led the first team since the debut of the championship. The club's communication, published on the official website, confirms that Stroppa has been relieved of his technical duties.
During the season, the lagoon club played 12 matches in Serie B, achieving only six defeats and no victories. The lack of positive results pushed the management to make the decision to change the technical leadership, with the aim of improving the team's performance in view of the next phase of the championship.
In the note, the club thanks Stroppa and his staff for the professionalism, dedication and commitment demonstrated during their stay. Venezia also highlights that, under his management, the club had achieved promotion to Serie A in the 2025/26 season, an achievement which was celebrated with enthusiasm.
The club has not yet appointed a new coach, but has expressed its desire to find a candidate capable of leading the team towards more positive results. The dismissal decision comes at a crucial time for Venezia, who must now focus on regaining form and stabilizing the team before the start of next season.
