After Bologna's victory against Cagliari, MarcoLibra expressed his satisfaction with the result and his desire to remain at the club on DAZN's microphone. "A victory is always a victory, but this one has more weight because we have many games in different days. It allows us to go a little further and move up," said the midfielder. "I would like to stay here and be part of this fantastic group. I played in all the youth teams and for me this shirt has a more important value", he added, underlining the importance of continuity and identity within the team.
Bologna, which has recently demonstrated that it can count on a solid base of players from the youth team, saw Libra's performance as a positive sign for the phase in which the team finds itself. In fact, the club has three players of local origin, two of whom are goalkeepers, and has recently sold defender Raimondo to another team. The victory against Cagliari, which allowed Bologna to recover precious points, was welcomed with enthusiasm by both the fans and the coach, who praised the team's determination.
Libra also commented on the importance of adapting to different coaches' ideas. “Each coach has his own ideas, it's up to us to adapt to the coach,” he explained, highlighting the flexibility required of players to respond to tactical needs. The midfielder also cited Bernardeschi as an example of a player who has been able to evolve in the role, underlining that his role has changed and that this makes him anxious, but pushes him to improve.
Bologna, who are currently in the recovery zone of the standings, need to maintain consistency to guarantee a good final result. The victory against Cagliari, with a score of 2-1, allowed the club to advance by three points, reducing the gap with respect to the points of the leading team. With the calendar featuring matches on consecutive days, the team will have to continue to exploit the motivation and cohesion of the group to consolidate their position.
Going forward, Bologna will face a number of important challenges, including human resource management and preparation for upcoming matches against top-level opponents. Libra, with his declaration of wanting to stay at the club, demonstrates the commitment of some key players in contributing to the team's success. The club, with its base of young talents and the desire to maintain continuity, seems ready to exploit this phase to improve its position in the SerieA table.
