Jagoba Arrasate has asked his squad to maintain aggressiveness and solidity before the match against Sevilla, which will be played at the Sánchez-Pizjuán stadium and closes the tenth day of LaLiga. The Basque coach stated that the team must follow the same frequency that it showed in the match against Racing, where it achieved a solid defense and an offensive game that allowed it to win.
In the pre-match press conference, Arrasate expressed his enthusiasm for seeing the team on the starting line and his expectation against an opponent who “does very well.” He acknowledged that Sevilla is a very different team from Racing and that he would not like to see Osasuna "different from home." The coach explained that the strategy will depend on the lineup and the model presented by the rival, since Sevilla can play with three in the center or with two up front, which will influence the level of pressure that Osasuna will have to exert.
The coach recalled that, to date, Osasuna has only achieved one victory away from home and that it needs to maintain the strengths shown at Sadar. "The other day we started well, we were aggressive, we stole, we made fouls and that is what we are going to have against tomorrow. So, we have to put ourselves on that frequency tomorrow. If not, we are not going to have anything to do," he stressed. Regarding the position in the table, Osasuna occupies eleventh place and Arrasate emphasized that the important thing is the results and not so much the numerical position. “The team has room for improvement and we have to work for it,” he added.
The coach also pointed out that the team must contribute more in generating goals and not “live alone” on the opportunities that the rival offers. In this sense, the coach has emphasized the need to improve in all facets of the game, especially in the offensive contribution. With his sights set on the next match, Arrasate hopes that his team maintains the aggressiveness and solidity that have allowed it to compete in the League.
