Milan achieved a brilliant 0‑4 away to Salzburg, a result that left coach RubenAmorim satisfied and optimistic for the team's future. After the match, the Portuguese spoke to the club's official microphones, underlining the importance of the result and the players' performances.
Amorim expressed his satisfaction with the team's overall performance, stating that he saw solid team play and was able to make the most of the opportunities created. “We played well and I had a lot of pleasure to see our players in action,” he said, highlighting how the team proved to be an integral part of the project. The coach also praised the defense, which kept a clean sheet despite the pressure from the opponent. “At times we were close to man, but we managed to defend ourselves well with fewer players,” he added, underlining that the ability to keep the goal closed is a positive sign for the season.
The result of 4‑0 was considered an important achievement, especially compared to a hypothetical 4‑1. “A 4‑0 is different from a 4‑1; all the details matter in this moment,” explained Amorim, highlighting the importance of precision and concentration during the match. The coach also expressed his gratitude for the team's discipline, which avoided expulsions and maintained cohesion on the pitch.
A focal point of the statement was the comment on MoussaCisse, who scored a spectacular hat-trick. Amorim praised the young striker for his humility and commitment, saying that “Cisse has the potential to become really strong.” The coach also highlighted that the player had shown an improvement in his linkage work and handling the ball away from goal, but acknowledged that his ability to score was crucial to the victory. “It was really impressive, so I'm very happy for him,” he said, inviting Cisse to enjoy the day but recalling the importance of focusing on the next match against Atalanta.
With the victory in Salzburg, Milan are approaching a moment of stability in the season, but the coach has already set his sights on the future. "Tomorrow we will prepare Atalanta. It will be a very important match for us", concluded Amorim, indicating that the team will continue to work to maintain the pace and confidence gained in this elimination.
