The Sassuolo coach, Alberto Aquilani, expressed his appreciation for the team's performance and for Cisse's performance, after the match against Frosinone, during an interview with DAZN. In his comment, Aquilani underlined the importance of not being satisfied and continuing to improve, highlighting the need to understand who you are facing on the pitch and to maintain the same energy shown against high-level teams such as Juventus and Roma.
According to the coach, the team has demonstrated that it is capable of executing his requests and shows a genuine desire to progress. “The team does what I ask of them, they follow me and enjoy wanting to improve,” he declared. However, he added that it is essential to remain more cynical and focused on the result, hoping for a step forward in their tactical and mental evolution. Aquilani expressed his confidence in the players' maturity, asking them to demonstrate that they are ready to handle the challenges that arise.
As for the opposing team, the coach considered Frosinone to be a very strong team, even if it lacks players of great fame. He praised the Frosinone coach, who, according to him, works continuously and brings the team to competitive levels. “So, yes, I expected it,” confirmed Aquilani, underlining his surprise at Frosinone's solidity.
The coach then spoke about the player Cisse, with whom he had a positive relationship. “I'm happy for him, because he deserves it: he has really important qualities and I congratulate him,” he said. However, he warned to remain calm, remembering that the road to success is still long and requires constant commitment.
In summary, Alberto Aquilani reiterated the need to continue the work of improvement, to maintain a cynical mentality and to remain focused on results. He expressed satisfaction with the team's performance and Cisse's growth, but also underlined the need to continue working to achieve the set objectives. With the match against Frosinone now over, Sassuolo is preparing to continue its journey in Serie A, trying to consolidate its position and face the next challenges with determination.
