Fenerbahçe continued their run towards the top of the Turkish Super Lig, dashing Galatasaray's hopes with a clear 3-0 win against Rizespor. The victory, obtained at home, strengthened the position of the Istanbul club, which is now three points away from second place, occupied by Galatasaray.
The match saw the early entry of Asensio, who scored in the 12th minute, followed by Kahveci in the 83rd and Aydin in the 87th. Fenerbahçe's attack was led by former Lazio player Muriqi, who started the match on the pitch. Meanwhile, former Inter, Napoli and Roma player Romelu Lukaku came on in the 79th minute, contributing with an assist that consolidated the team's superiority. These three goals ensured Fenerbahçe a convincing victory and a significant lead in the league table.
On the same day, Galatasaray lost 3-1 against Kasımpasa, while Gençlerbirliği drew 2-2 with Amedspor. Among the top scorers, Orban of Amedspor scored seven goals, followed by Salah of Trabzonspor with six goals. Fenerbahçe's Muriqi also reached the six-goal mark, while Galatasaray's Osimhen and Basaksehir's Shomurodov both scored six goals. Besiktas' Vlahovic completed the list with five goals.
With the victory against Rizespor, Fenerbahçe consolidated its position in the table and maintained its hope of reaching the top of the Turkish Super Lig. The club will have to continue to play with determination in the next matches to maintain its leading position.
