Serie A is preparing for a summer transfer market which, according to the latest analyses, risks proving to be a failure for three of the most important teams: Juventus, Milan and Fiorentina. The total expenses of these clubs amount to 484.1 million euros, a figure that highlights the management difficulties and uncertainties that surround them.
In the case of Juventus, the most recent expenditure was 168.3 million euros, also including redemptions from the previous year. Despite the investment, the squad has not reached expectations in any area of the pitch, leaving the club in a position of dissatisfaction. Milan, on the other hand, spent 166.6 million euros. Some signings, like that of Moreira, seem promising, but the €75 million spent on Gonçalo Ramos has not yet produced the desired results. Finally, Fiorentina spent 149.2 million euros, with a market that saw the purchase of players already present in the previous year's squad; the team, led by Fabio Paratici, finds itself in a situation of strong pressure to avoid relegation.
The high expenses, combined with unsatisfactory results, have generated doubts about the decisions made by the managers of these clubs. The coaches, including Ruben Amorim, Luciano Spalletti and Paolo Vanoli, are now under pressure to make the investments pay off and guarantee competitive performances. Notably, Vanoli has already taken on the role of Fiorentina coach, replacing Fabio Grosso, in an attempt to get the team back on track.
With the summer transfer window in sight, the three companies will have to reconsider their purchasing and staff management strategies. If they fail to improve the quality of the squad and achieve more consistent results, managers and coaches could be faced with drastic decisions, including the possibility of leadership changes. The future of these teams remains uncertain, but the next transfer phase will be crucial in defining the direction they take in 2026-27.
