HansiFlick's team has equaled the best start in the history of FCBarcelona, with eight wins in the first eight days of LaLiga. The result was achieved after a resounding 3-0 win over Getafe, which places Barça in the same position as TataMartino's squad in the 2013-14 season, when they also achieved eight consecutive wins before losing 0-0 against Osasuna on matchday nine.
This record, which had remained intact for more than a decade, is confirmed thanks to the team's defensive solidity and scoring efficiency. In the match against Getafe, Barcelona showed a dominant style of play, with ball control and high pressing that culminated in three goals clearly and quickly. The victory not only equaled the record, but also reinforced the squad's confidence in the management of Flick, who has demonstrated solid tactical control since his arrival.
Throughout the eight days, Barça has scored 34 goals, which translates into an average of 4.25 goals per game, a figure that underlines the team's offensive power. The combination of a prolific attack and an organized defense has been key to maintaining the winning streak. Furthermore, the collective performance has been consistent, with key players contributing in both the offensive and defensive phases, which has allowed the club to maintain its advantage in the table.
The challenge now is to beat Martino's record. The next match will be against Real Betis, which occupies third place in the current standings. The match will be played at the LaCartuja stadium on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. The objective of Flick and his squad will be not only to maintain the streak, but also to consolidate their position at the top of the table and demonstrate that sustained performance is a constant under their direction.
With the season still underway, Barcelona is preparing to continue its campaign with the same intensity and discipline that has allowed it to equal the best start in the club's history. The expectation is that the team will continue its dominance in the league, seeking to surpass the record and consolidate its position among the top qualifiers for the next phase of the competition.
