Former rojillo player Darko Brasanac has confirmed his incorporation to the Osasuna coaching staff as assistant coach, under the direction of Jagoba Arrasate. The news comes after the announcement of Arrasate's second stage at the head of the first team, in which the Serbian, who played 121 official matches with the Pamplona shirt between 2019 and February 2024, will make the jump from the field to the bench.
Brasanac, 34 years old, finished his career as a footballer in February 2024 and has decided to continue his career in football from the training area. During his time at the club, he was part of the Arrasate squad, which will allow him to provide in-depth knowledge of the team's environment and philosophy. “Knowledge of the club and its environment will mark the beginning of my career as a coach at Osasuna,” commented the former player, who joins the technical team that already has Bittor Alkiza as second coach.
Regarding physical preparation, Sergi Pérez will resume his position as head of physical preparation, accompanied by Pablo Iriarte as assistant. Both have previously worked with Arrasate in his first stage at Osasuna and also at Mallorca, which reinforces the continuity in the club's structure. In addition, the coaching staff will be completed with Richard Sanzol, in charge of goalkeeper training; Juantxo Martín, responsible for physical rehabilitation; and Ion Orradre, assistant analyst. The only missing piece is the addition of an additional analyst.
With the arrival of Brasanac and the confirmation of the other members of the team, Osasuna is preparing for the next season with a solid technical squad and with the experience of players who already knew the coach. The incorporation of the former rojillo player promises to provide a fresh vision from the perspective of a player who has experienced the dynamics of the club, which could be key in the search for new objectives in the competition.
