Como 1907 has confirmed the permanence of its Greek striker Tasos Douvikas, signing a new contract that binds him to the club until 2031. The agreement comes after a season of great impact for the player, who contributed decisively to the club's success on Lake Como.
Douvikas arrived at Como in the winter transfer market of the 2024/25 season and, so far, has played 68 games with the blue and white shirt, scoring 27 goals and making five assists in all competitions. In Serie A he ended the season with 14 goals, becoming the second highest scorer in the league. Furthermore, he began his Champions League career with three goals in the first three matchdays of the group stage, a result which represented an achievement for both him and the club.
The player expressed great satisfaction with the renewal, stating that he had found a suitable environment since his arrival and that he immediately perceived Como's ambition. He also underlined the role of Fàbregas and his staff in personal and professional development, defining the group as a "big family". Douvikas stated that he wants to continue giving his all for the team, contributing to the club's success.
Coach Cesc Fàbregas commented positively on the decision, praising the player's mentality and professionalism from day one. He highlighted that his performance on the field was a direct result of his positive attitude, ambition and commitment. The coach expressed his joy at being able to announce the renewal of such an important player for the Como project.
With the new contract in place, Douvikas will be able to continue to contribute to Como's project for the next few years, consolidating his position as one of the club's protagonists and contributing to its growth ambitions in both Serie A and European competitions. The club's future therefore lies with a key striker who has already shown he can make a difference on the pitch.
