The match against Genoa was a turning point for Spalletti's team. With three wins in four games, Juventus have shown that they are back in form, even if the road is far from simple. DeRossi stressed that the group worked hard to overcome a difficult start to the season, when the club was in a position of risk and many had doubts about its role. “The group has worked and when they come together, the credit goes to the players,” he said, recalling the importance of patience and time for the coaches.
In dealing with Spalletti, DeRossi recognized the difficulty of the task of leading a top-level team. The memory of the episode with Parma was mentioned by DeRossi as a crucial moment in his career. “It was easy to kick me out after Parma, but now we're here without giving up anything,” he said, underlining how the club's trust allowed the manager to overcome the difficulties. The coach also recalled the importance of not being discouraged by criticism, maintaining focus on teamwork.
