Atalanta started the Serie A day with a motivational message from their captain Eljif Elmas, who spoke to DAZN before the match against Fiorentina. "We all know that we have problems but we have to try to win. They too are in difficulty, it's important today. We are playing against a strong team. We have to give our all and bring home three points", declared the owner, underlining the importance of a complete performance against a high-level opponent.
The context of the match was defined by a series of recent difficulties for Atalanta. The club dealt with an injury to defender Kristensen shortly after the start of the match, while midfielder Scalvini expressed the need to continue to grow for future challenges. Coach Gian Piero Ventura reiterated that the team must maintain concentration and take advantage of opportunities, especially considering their position in the table and the need for points to consolidate their position in the top half of the table.
Elmas also highlighted the difficulty of the match, recalling that Fiorentina is a strong team and that the match will be a real "battle". The captain asked his teammates to give their all and not to let any opportunity pass by, highlighting the desire to obtain the three points necessary to advance in the standings. His message was received with enthusiasm by fans and colleagues, who expressed confidence in the team's ability to overcome difficulties.
