Juve Stabia, led by Pietro DeGiorgio, is preparing to challenge Hellas Verona on the Menti pitch, after a series of five positive results, including victories against Sudtirol and Cremonese. In yesterday's press conference, the coach underlined the importance of this match, calling it "an important match" and reiterated the need to arrive on the pitch with the right mentality.
DeGiorgio recalled the team's recent path, highlighting how Juve Stabia has "restored enthusiasm to the square" but that now it is time to continue with consistency. He described Verona as a "strong team" that deserves more points than its current position, and asked the players to maintain humility and balance, key elements in Serie B. The coach highlighted the need for a "turnover" in the squad, arguing that player rotation is fundamental to maintaining high competitiveness.
When talking about the tactical changes, DeGiorgio stated that he does not intend to radically alter the game structure, but that "some changes" are essential. He cited the experience of the previous championship, in which the team played 50 games in Potenza, to explain the importance of careful management of forces. The coach also recalled that Verona has great potential and that Juve Stabia must concentrate fully for the 90 minutes, aiming to build an effective "role" on the Menti pitch.
Regarding the team's preparation, DeGiorgio mentioned the availability of some key players: Scuderi will need another ten days of recovery, while Pietrangeli and Vismara will be ready to start next week. He expressed confidence in young people, stating that he must have the courage to launch them and the strength to support them even in the event of mistakes. The coach also reported that he had worked hard to keep the players motivated, underlining that the team had shown that it can achieve positive results, such as the draw against Palermo and the victory in Vicenza.
Finally, DeGiorgio acknowledged the challenges associated with the recent signings made in late August, highlighting that the job is not easy but that the group has always followed the coach's direction. With the match against Hellas Verona scheduled, Juve Stabia aims to consolidate their position in the standings, aiming for a solid performance and optimal control of the game. The result of this meeting will be decisive for the continuation of the season and for the evaluation of team strategies in the next matches.
