DanieleDeRossi expressed great satisfaction with Genoa's victory against Juventus, with a result of 2‑0 which highlighted the solidity of the team. The former Roma captain praised the players, calling them "wonderful", and underlined the importance of having defeated two top-level coaches, Luciano Spalletti and Andrea Gasperini.
Genoa showed greater intensity than in recent matches, maintaining strong pressure and showing a heart and team spirit that led to the victory. DeRossi commented that although the difficulty was high, the performance was thorough and included numerous fine individual actions. He also highlighted the need to continue to improve the management of the game, especially in terms of player positioning and space exploitation.
In particular, the coach spoke about the tactical decisions made during the match, such as Baldanzi's change of position to give more space to Lucumi and the use of a more aggressive approach in defense. He also mentioned the discipline of Vitinha, who never missed a training session, and reiterated the importance of maintaining high attention for the next matches, such as the one against Lecce.
For DeRossi, the victory against Spalletti and Gasperini is a significant achievement, especially considering his past with Roma and his long career. He stated that the difference in that match was mainly determined by the players, who were able to execute the strategy with precision. The team is now preparing to continue the season with the same energy and determination, aiming to consolidate its position in the standings.
