Strahinja Pavlovic has signed a new pact with Milan which binds him to the club until 30 June 2031. The news was announced during the press room preceding the Europa League match against Red Bull Salzburg, in which Milan was preparing to play the next match. Coach László Amorim was present alongside the Serbian defender, who expressed great satisfaction with the contract extension.
The midfielder said he felt "proud and happy" about the renewal, thanking both the coach and the club's management. “I am happy to be here and I hope that things will be better in the future,” he added, highlighting his desire to contribute to the club's success. Pavlovic also underlined the importance of continuing to fight for trophies, calling Milan one of the biggest clubs in the world and saying he wants to grow further within the company.
Milan invested 18.5 million euros to lock down the midfielder, consolidating Pavlovic's role as a key figure in the team. The defender asked for his role to be clear within the game system, but maintained a positive and victory-oriented approach. The club's management reiterated their faith in the player, highlighting their desire to build a long-term project around him.
With the renewal, Milan strengthens its defensive and central structure, aiming to consolidate its position in Serie A and compete in Europe. The club, which recently went through a transition phase, sees in Pavlovic a stable element who can help bring the club back to the level of competitiveness that has been betrayed. The next step will be preparation for the Europa League match, where Milan will have to demonstrate that they are ready to challenge their European opponents.
