Lecce coach Youssef Male commented on the defeat against Frosinone at the end of the match, underlining the positive form of the opposing team and the need to improve the technical details.
During the press conference, Male expressed his view on the result, stating that the final goals were avoidable and that Frosinone's attack had continued to push. “We shouldn't have conceded so much,” he said, highlighting the difficulty of containing the opponent.
Regarding the referee's decisions, the coach stated that there was no point in protesting, as the referee has the final say. He also commented on the two penalties, arguing that probably the most valid penalty had been in favor of Lecce, but that in any case neither of them was decisive. “We can't get attached to this, we have to try to improve the details,” he added.
Male confirmed that his team was prepared for Frosinone's vertical long balls, but recognized that the opponent was in an important phase of form and deserved the victory. “Definitely yes, we were prepared, however they are in an important moment of form, today they were better, they deserved it,” he said.
Finally, the coach mentioned a pass under the visitors' section that didn't catch his attention, but he thanked the fans for their support. “In any case we have to thank the fans, we will try to make up for it at home on Sunday,” he concluded.
Lecce will therefore have to review their strategy for the next home match, trying to correct the mistakes that led to the defeat against an in-form Frosinone.
