Bologna ended the day with a positive result against Cagliari, bringing home a victory that confirmed the solidity of the team in the Serie A season. The final result was 2-1 in favor of the Abruzzo team, with a decisive goal coming from the defense. The coach and players expressed satisfaction with the tactical execution and the ability to exploit game opportunities, especially in a context of difficulty and injuries.
Nicolò Casale, one of the protagonists of the match, spoke to DAZN immediately after the match. According to him, the team managed the pressure well, especially after the first half, when the tension was evident. “We spoke to each other at the end of the first half, we knew it would be difficult and at the beginning of the second half we came out well,” said Casale. He highlighted the importance of 'dead balls' - moments in the game where the team can control the pace and create chances - saying they were crucial to the final result. “Today a goal came from the defense,” he added, highlighting how the team was able to exploit its defensive structure to create a winning opportunity.
The player also commented on the injury situation and the lack of time to work with his teammates, given the intense calendar which also includes national commitments. “We didn't have much time to work, between the national team and the injuries: little by little, every match, we saw something more,” he explained. Casale's analysis suggests that, despite the difficulties, the team is making steady progress, with gradual improvement reflected in each match.
With this victory, Bologna is getting closer to a result which, according to the management, is an important step towards stability in Serie A. The club has already announced that in the next few days it will move to Milan for another match, where it will try to consolidate its position and continue to show the determination that has characterized the season so far. With the team continuing to work on key aspects such as dead-ball management and the ability to exploit defensive opportunities, Bologna appear poised to maintain their competitiveness in an increasingly difficult league.
