The atmosphere at the Olimpico Stadium in Riyadh is preparing for a strong confrontation between Roma and Real Madrid in the second round of the league stage of the UEFA Champions League season 2026‑2027. The match will start at ten o’clock in the evening, Mecca time, and will be broadcast on the Qatari channel beIN Sports on its channel “beIN SPORTS 3”.
This match comes within a series of meetings that show a common history between coaches and teams. Real Madrid coach, Jose Mourinho, once again faces Roma, the team he coached between 2021 and 2024. During that period, Roma won the European Conference League title and advanced to the Europa League final, despite its modest performance in the Italian League. On the other hand, Mourinho led Real Madrid last month to a 2-1 victory over Inter Milan in the first round, which strengthens the royal club’s confidence in its abilities to confront European competitors.
On the other hand, Roma is seeking to improve its continental position after a positive 1-1 draw against Fenerbahce in Turkey at the beginning of its Champions League campaign. This will be the first home match in the tournament in seven years, adding extra excitement for the opponent. The team aims to achieve a positive result at home, relying on the performance of its key players and the coach's tactics.
Logistical arrangements show that the match will be widely shown, with beIN Sports providing comprehensive coverage to fans in the region, with the ability to follow the match online for those outside the broadcasting area. A large number of fans are expected to participate in Riyadh, enjoying the opportunity to watch a match considered one of the most prominent events in European football.
As the match approaches, both teams focus on final preparation, focusing on playing strategies and tactics that may determine the course of the match. This encounter will be a decisive test for coaches and players alike, and gives fans the opportunity to see how the teams will react in the arena of major European competition.
