The Minister of Economy, Andrea Abodi, expressed his appreciation for the project of the new stadium in Bologna during the presentation of the Davis Cup Final 8, held on 29 October in the Emilia-Romagna Region. In his speech, the minister underlined how the stadium, despite having suffered various administrative difficulties, has finally found a solid partner in a collaboration with the Bolognese club, led by president Joey Saputo and CEO Claudio Fenucci.
Abodi highlighted that the Bolognese community, despite feeling a certain pain at the abandonment of the Dall'Ara, will soon be able to welcome a new structure that is part of a broader development project, also including the Fair and other urban initiatives. “The new stadium is a project that I appreciated,” declared the minister, reiterating the importance of a rapid and transparent administrative process to complete the construction.
The minister also expressed the expectation that the new facility will not only strengthen Bologna's presence in Serie A, but will contribute to transforming the city into both a sporting and infrastructural point of reference. “I hope to see an administrative process that reaches the result quickly,” he added, making it clear that the project is seen as an opportunity for growth for the city and for the club.
In conclusion, Abodi reiterated that the new stadium represents an important step for Bologna, which will thus be able to consolidate its excellence not only on the pitch, but also in the structures that surround it. The project, if completed on schedule, should offer fans a high-level experience and open up new prospects for economic and cultural development for the entire region.
