Oskar Pietuszewski, the 18-year-old Polish winger, is the most recent discovery of Porto led by Francesco Farioli. The Portuguese club closed the agreement on 7 January 2026 for ten million euros, bonuses included, and inserted a release clause of sixty million. With a ten-year career at Jagiellonia Białystok, the youngster is now part of Porto's "gold generation", which dominates the Primeira Liga with 27 points in nine games.
Pietuszewski was born in Białystok on May 20, 2008. Raised alone by his mother Iwona, the girl enrolled her son in the Talent football school at five years old and followed him constantly from the stands. When Porto decided to invest in him, Iwona left his job in the Polish regional administration to move to Portugal, guaranteeing his son the stability necessary to combine football and studies. The school principal had to reschedule the final exam dates to avoid conflicts with club commitments.
Pietuszewski's career was marked by injury in 2022, when during a youth match against Hutnik Krakow he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury. After an operation, the young man had to face a long rehabilitation process. Despite this, he has shown great resilience, scoring a hat-trick against Kraków in the Under-17 Championship and making his professional debut at the age of sixteen against Ajax in the Europa League preliminaries on 29 August 2024.
In 2024-25 he made 15 league appearances with one goal and one assist, while the following season he recorded 17 appearances, three goals and one assist in the Ekstraklasa. Since arriving at Porto, he has already made twenty-two appearances, four goals and four assists, proving to be a key element in attack. His last goal was on 10 October, when he scored the decisive goal in the 87th minute in a 2‑1 win over Marítimo, coming on in place of Brazilian Pepê.
Pietuszewski is a versatile player: 1.79m tall, right-handed, he can play as a left winger, right winger or attacking midfielder, using his speed and dribbling to create scoring opportunities. With his ambition and potential recognized from a young age by his coach Rafał Muczyński, Porto aim to develop him into one of the club's stars. Next season will be crucial to consolidate his role and see if he can contribute to the club's run at the top of the European rankings.
