Bologna reported a moment of brilliance that brought them back to an expectation of European qualification. The victory against Milan at the San Siro, after ten years, and the subsequent victory at home against Monza, after six months, allowed the club to climb to seventh place in the table, albeit for one night. The result was possible thanks to the penalty saved by goalkeeper Skorupski, who blocked Patrick Cutrone's shot, and to the three-man defense which consolidated the structure of the department.
In the historical context of the club, coach Raffaele Palladino demonstrated an average points of 2.16 per game in his first six games in charge, surpassing the performances of Vincenzo Italiano in the previous two seasons in Bologna. Palladino introduced a three-man defense which reduced the playing surface for the opponents and allowed them to make the most of the midfielders Ferguson and Pobega, who proved solid and consistent. The gradual inclusion of Vitik as a starter highlighted Palladino's desire to evolve the team without radically changing the basic formation.
Bologna also showed good resilience after the defeat against Milan, where the team demonstrated that it can handle pressure and have an attack capable of creating chances. Bernardeschi and Cambiaghi were key in the transition phase, while striker Samuel Mbangula was safeguarded to avoid losing his talent. The objective now is to maintain consistency and increase offensive inventiveness to guarantee positive results both at home and away.
With the next match against Parma, Bologna is preparing for an important challenge, where they will have to demonstrate that they can maintain their position in the standings and not be distracted by "witches" or "spells". The club must continue to build on solid elements, such as the three-man defense and the synergy between the midfielders, to ensure a steady march towards European qualification. The team, under the guidance of Palladino, seems ready to continue its turnaround, maintaining the hope of achieving more ambitious results in the current season.
