The president of LaLiga, JavierTebas, has once again launched a forceful criticism of RealMadrid, accusing the club of “leading an orchestra of portaCOCES” and that its official channel, RealMadridTV, “takes the lead” in a narrative that always presents the team as a victim. The comment arose after the publication of an article in ElDebate that questioned the club's position regarding the competition schedules, especially the match against Valencia on November 7, and about the figure of referee Negreira.
In his tweet, Tebas described how the press, and in particular journalists such as TomásGonzálezMartín and JesúsUrdiola, “have become official COZ carriers” of the club, reproducing expressions identical to those of senior RealMadrid executives. The president stressed that these journalists “look like a parrot, but with a keyboard,” and that the information they disseminate is very aligned with what the club wants to be published. According to Tebas, RealMadrid's communication strategy is similar to Goebbels' propaganda, with systematic repetition, construction of an enemy and subordination of facts to the story.
The critic also pointed out that RealMadridTV functions as a central piece of this media machinery. "Where is the complete analysis of the matches of each day? Where are the possible errors that harm other clubs or those that favor RealMadrid?" Tebas asked, suggesting that the channel's coverage focuses solely on the points that fuel the controversy. Furthermore, he stated that the "script demands that RealMadrid always appear as a victim", going so far as to present the "NOERROR" as an error and use the Negreira case as a permanent explanation for any decision that they do not like.
The president also addressed the issue of schedules, pointing out that the club has requested numerous requests to change the day and time, and that the competition has not been able to respond in a transparent manner. “The schedules also affect the rival, other clubs, the fans and the audiovisual commitments of the competition,” Tebas explained. “A request does not become a right because it comes from RealMadrid, nor does a refusal demonstrate persecution.” According to him, LaLiga defends the integrity of its competition and demands that a complete balance be published of what the club asked for, what was granted and the reasons for the decisions.
Finally, Tebas concluded that RealMadrid's strategy is based on the repetition of a message that, according to him, is spread through RealMadridTV and amplified by other portaCOZ. “We will see if they dedicate the same enthusiasm to the videos of grievances as to the materials that show the club's requests and the responses it has received,” he concluded, leaving open the possibility that the league continues to monitor the relationship between the club and the competition.
