FCBarcelona coach, XaviFlick, reaffirmed his confidence in the team after the two recent defeats and outlined the measures he must adopt to return to the path of success. In an interview with the press, Flick defended his style of play and asked the players to reduce turnovers and regain the freshness that had characterized them in the early stages of the season.
The coach explained that the way of playing he has implemented has not changed, although he recognizes the need for tactical adjustments to improve possession and efficiency in the defensive phase. “We have to be more careful with the ball, not to lose it in key areas,” said Flick, underlining the importance of discipline in the transition between attack and defense. In addition, he pointed out that the team must return to the energy and intensity they showed in the games prior to the defeat against Alavés.
Flick also addressed the situation of defensive losses affecting the team. He commented that the absence of key players in the defense line has generated additional pressure, but assured that the coaching staff has alternatives to cover those positions. Likewise, he spoke about the situation of young talents such as LamineYamal and Raphinha, indicating that their development remains a priority and that they will be given opportunities in the next matches.
Barça's next duel will be against Alavés, and the coach emphasized the need for the team to regain its rhythm and concentrate on the next day. “The goal is to come out with a victory and show that we are a competitive team,” concluded Flick, making it clear that the next match will be decisive in reorienting the campaign and preventing defeats from becoming a pattern.
