Jaume Camacho, the 17-year-old born in Lleida and raised in Abu Dhabi, has been named by *The Guardian* as the greatest promise of the 2026 generation of the Premier League. The British media included the young Spaniard in its list of players born between September 2009 and August 2010 who, according to the publication, have the greatest projection in each club in the English league. Camacho ranks above other talents such as Arsenal's Max Dowman, who has already made his debut and scored for the first team. Manchester correspondent Jamie Jackson describes the player as “tall, athletic and with great technique”, capable of alternating between midfield and full-back, although he shines especially as a midfielder. In the videos of his training you can see his agility and a powerful shot.
Camacho's career is unconventional. After moving to Abu Dhabi, he began his training at the City Football Schools, a project inspired by the Manchester City methodology. He later joined the Manchester United youth academy, where he made his debut with the under-18 team in January 2025 at the age of 15. Since then he has been a regular starter for the under-18s and has participated in the UEFA Youth League with the under-19s, making his debut at the age of 16 against Sabah. To date, the player has not been called up by either Spain or England, and his younger brother, Josep, is also a goalkeeper at the same institution.
At just 16 years old, Camacho signed a representation contract with Roc Nation, the agency that manages figures like Vinicius Jr. and Endrick. Nathan Campbell, agent for the agency, explained that the recruiting process began after observing Camacho in a cup match, where he dominated the first half. “I have never seen him play a bad game,” commented Campbell, highlighting the player's consistency and leadership on the field. The agency is now focusing on his physical development, since Camacho still has room for growth and has not finished growing. Campbell adds that as he adapts to the full-time professional environment, he will gain physical power and his football intelligence will allow him to become an elite player.
Roc Nation's goal is for Camacho to reach the first team as soon as possible and establish himself in one of the five major European leagues. “When we start to see his maximum physical ability, combined with his extraordinary football intelligence, he will become an elite footballer,” Campbell concluded. The young man, surrounded by professionals who help him in his recovery and tactical improvement, is in a very exciting stage that promises great advances in his career.
