After the 2‑0 victory against Lecce, Juventus consolidated their position in the standings thanks to the performance of JohnLucumi, a defender who expressed satisfaction with the outcome but highlighted some shortcomings.
In the first half, Spalletti's team showed solid play, with a high percentage of recoveries and a compact defensive action. Lucumi highlighted that "we had a good first half", but also recognized that "in the second we were not at our level, making a lot of mistakes with the ball". Despite this, the final result was the one that mattered: the victory, which allowed the Turin club to increase by two points in the standings.
The defender then commented on Spalletti's tactical choice, who changed formation during the match. “When you are at Juventus you have to be available to play where the coach says,” said Lucumi, referring to the transition from a four-man formation to a three-man formation in defence. He added that "we need more victories to move up the rankings", underlining the importance of maintaining concentration in every match.
Regarding the defense, Lucumi praised the collective performance, stating that "we performed very well, we fought and I think the victory is deserved." The player also reiterated the importance of a winning mentality, especially after a series of mixed results.
Looking to the future, Juventus is preparing for the next match against Bologna, where the team will have to continue to consolidate its position in the league table. With the victory against Lecce, Spalletti's team demonstrated that they can handle pressure and are ready to seek further points in the next matches.
