Pisa achieved their second consecutive victory in Serie B, imposing a third setback on Cremonese with a 3-1 result at home, on the seventh day of the championship. The victory, obtained at the Cetilar Arena, eliminated the bad performance against Virtus Entella and pushed the Lombard team towards the top of the table.
Coach Bianco demonstrated his ability to read the game, changing the defense at key moments and adopting a three-man defense which limited the opponents' opportunities. The result was guaranteed by defensive solidity, in particular by Vandeputte, who saved the goal with a cross on the right, and by Berti, whose Eurogoal on the left contributed to the equalizer. The midfield, with the entry of Loyola, changed gear in the crucial area, while the pair of forwards Moreo and Marras provided decisive goals and assists.
The Cremonese team, under the guidance of Pecchia, showed that they were not in crisis, but had difficulties in crucial moments of the match. Despite numerous absences, the defense had ups and downs, with goalkeeper Fulignati managing three goals against. Winger Barbieri had a difficult start, but managed to regain his form in the second half. The midfield of Vogliacco and Thorsby was solid, but the attack of Licina and Berti failed to create decisive opportunities.
The final result strengthened Pisa's position in the league table, with seven points gained in three matches after the defeat against Entella. Coach Bianco praised the ability to read the match and intervene with targeted changes, while the group demonstrated character, overcoming the initial disadvantage. Cremonese, however, will have to reflect on their performances, in particular on defense and management of absences, to avoid further losses in the future.
