JariVandeputte continues to consolidate himself as one of the main chance creators in SerieB, proving that he can provide assists with an almost constant frequency. The Belgian, who began his SerieC career with Catanzaro, has already made his mark with 53 decisive passes in 121 appearances, including 20 assists in 34 games during the promotion year. His arrival at Cremonese in the summer of 2024 proved to be a winning choice: in 39 games he made 15 assists, contributing decisively to the team's success.
During the last day of the championship, Vandeputte once again demonstrated his value. His pass to Federico Bonazzoli led to the goal that gave Mantova the lead, confirming his reputation as the "king of assists" in Serie B. With 30 assists in 107 total appearances, the player placed himself in seventh place in the ranking of the most active players in terms of decisive passes in the second division. If you calculate the average, Vandeputte is even in first position, with an assist every 3.5 games, surpassing the Norwegian DennisJohnsen, currently at Palermo, who records an assist every 4.8 games.
The complete ranking of the best assisters in SerieB shows that Vandeputte is only a few steps away from the podium. Cesena's DimitriBisoli occupies third place with 35 assists in 308 games, while Palermo's AntonioPalumbo and Sudtirol's SalvatoreMolina lead with 45 and 47 assists respectively. These numbers highlight Vandeputte's consistency in creating scoring opportunities, a fundamental aspect for the Cremonese who aim to consolidate their position in the rankings.
Vandeputte's contribution is not limited to numbers: his ability to read the game and find teammates in ideal positions makes him a key element for the team's offensive strategy. His pass to Bonazzoli, who transformed the assist into a goal, is an example of how the synergy between midfielder and attacker can make the difference in a match.
Looking to the future, Cremonese aims to make the most of Vandeputte's creativity in the coming weeks. With the season still ongoing, the player has the opportunity to increase his assist record and further contribute to the team's success. His next goal will be to maintain an average of one assist every 3.5 games, thus consolidating his position among the best chance creators in SerieB.
