Bologna prepares to take on Inter in an early match on Saturday, and coach Raffaele Palladino has reiterated that Lautaro Martínez's absence will not alter the club's strategy. In a press conference, Palladino explained that the rossoblù team continues to make many rotations and play in a system that recreates the 5‑3‑2, emptying the center with the point guard and focusing on a vertical game. According to the coach, Inter can operate even without Lautaro thanks to the presence of players like Esposito, who can take on the role of buoy, and teammates like Thuram or Bonny, capable of surrounding him and creating offensive spaces.
Palladino also underlined the offensive power of the opponent, who on average scores three goals per game. “We want to play it and understand where we are in our growth,” he said, highlighting the importance of comparing himself with a team of this level to measure one's progress. The coach then responded to the question on the impact of Inter's recent defeat in the Champions League, declaring that he had observed it carefully and wanted to work on the defects highlighted. “For us it was a good week because after the victory in Lecce some enthusiasm returned, but we haven't done anything yet and we have to continue working because the matches are all difficult, especially tomorrow's,” he specified.
Bologna, who have just won against Lecce, are looking to consolidate their form after a series of mixed results. Palladino expressed confidence in the team's ability to face Inter with determination, but also recognized the need to continue to improve. The coach asked the players to maintain concentration and take advantage of game opportunities, especially in a match that is expected to be very competitive.
With the match scheduled for tomorrow, Bologna will have to prove that they can compete with one of the most offensive teams in the championship. The coach made it clear that the match will be an opportunity to measure the level of preparation and to identify areas for improvement. The final result remains uncertain, but the team is ready to give its all on the pitch, with the aim of obtaining a positive result against a highly prestigious opponent.
