Genoa has completed the restructuring of its sports management, announcing the departure of Diego López and the entry of two new professionals: François Modesto as Chief of Football and StefanoMelissano as Sports Director. The club's press office announced that López, responsible for the technical management and development of sports facilities, has left the role of Chief of Football after a mandate in which he led various areas of the rossoblù team. “The Club wishes to express its heartfelt thanks to him for his commitment, the development of the different areas of the sports structure, the dedication and the great professionalism demonstrated”, reads the note.
In the meantime, the new organizational chart has been officially presented: Modesto, with consolidated experience at an international and national level, will be in charge of the strategic management and direction of the technical area, while Melissano will take care of the sporting direction of the first team, collaborating with the technical structure in selection, resource management and market operations. The club wished them “good luck” and expressed confidence in the new management team.
In the competitive field, Como prepared the 12.30 match against Roma, with sporting director Carl Alberto Ludi underlining the importance of possession and the quality of the game. Ludi expressed optimism for the match, highlighting the good relationship with the national team and the need not to depend on injured players.
