The second day of the 2026/27 Champions League group stage ended with Paris Saint‑Germain at the top of the table, followed by Barcelona and AstonVilla. All three clubs achieved six points, with a seven-point advantage over fourth-placed Stuttgart, who accumulated five points. In fifth place is Liverpool, with six points and a four-point lead, while Sporting, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Real Betis close the first part of the tournament with the same score, but with differences in lead points.
There are many European teams that have stood out so far: Bayern Munich and Shakhtar Donetsk occupy tenth and eleventh place respectively, both with four points; Como, the only Italian club to win a match, is in twelfth with three points. The other Italian teams – Roma, Inter and Napoli – are still at the bottom of the table, with one point each or no points, and are therefore out of the game at this preliminary stage. Manchester United, Villarreal and Atlético Madrid complete the top half of the table with three points each, but with differences in the points of advantage.
Clubs that got three points but no clear lead included Club Brugge, Manchester City, Dortmund, Lens, AEK, RB Leipzig, Sabah Baku, Feyenoord, Bodo/Glimt, and others. Teams with just one point include Roma, PSV, Viking, Fenerbahce, Inter, Porto, Slavia Prague, Napoli, LASK, Lille, Galatasaray, Slovan Bratislava, all with one point and several negative points leads. The teams without points are Inter, Porto, Slavia Prague, Napoli, LASK, Lille, Galatasaray and Slovan Bratislava, with all negative points.
With this ranking, Paris Saint‑Germain confirms their lead in the tournament, but the points difference compared to Barcelona is seven points, leaving room for possible changes in the coming days. Italian teams, by contrast, find themselves at a disadvantage, with Como being the only club to have won a match so far. The group stage will continue with further matches, and the future of the European clubs will depend on their performances in the coming days.
