Bologna must face two important recoveries without running the risk of relapses. Riccardo Orsolini and Roberto Piccoli, both undergoing muscular rehabilitation, continue to work individually with the Casteldebole training center. The club has decided not to accelerate the recovery time, respecting the initial prognosis of around three weeks for both players, and to await the results of the next physiotherapy sessions to establish when they will be able to return to playing regularly with the rest of the team.
Orsolini, who suffered a first-degree hamstring injury during the match against Lecce, has already missed the matches against Inter and Cagliari. According to Corriere dello Sport, his next match is the home match against Monza on Saturday, which is approaching the three weeks expected for recovery. The physiotherapy sessions this weekend will have to clarify whether it is possible to bring forward his return or whether it will be necessary to give him a few more days of rest. The club does not intend to force him to return earlier than expected, to avoid the risk of a relapse.
Piccoli, however, suffered a problem with his right thigh flexors during the match against Inter. The tests showed a lesion to the biceps femoris, with a prognosis similar to that of Orsolini, lasting around three weeks. His first objective will be the away match against Parma on 7 November. Personalized work with the physiotherapist will allow us to understand if Piccoli will be able to return to the group in time to be called up for that match. If this is not possible, Bologna will not force their hand and will postpone their return until the end of the break.
The club also mentioned that Palladino, still recovering, is awaiting guidance from upcoming physiotherapy sessions. All three players will be carefully monitored by medical and technical staff, with the aim of ensuring a safe return without risk of recurrence. Bologna is therefore preparing to manage these recoveries with caution, keeping the team ready for the next Serie A challenges.
