Federico Cherubini, Parma coach, closed today's press conference in Collecchio with an assessment of the first half of the season and the summer transfer market. The coach underlined that, although only three months have passed, it is important to wait especially when dealing with young players. He highlighted how some assessments made in the summer may have been influenced by unclear decisions, with the team going in “multiple directions” rather than following a defined path. According to Cherubini, this lack of coherence could generate critical issues in the evaluations of some players, but it also left room for new possibilities.
The following paragraph was dedicated to the composition of the staff. The coach expressed satisfaction with the squad available, stating that the discussion on the formation remains open and that his staff can choose between different tactical configurations. “Due to the characteristics we have we can play in different formations,” he said, underlining the team's flexibility. In this sense, Cherubini reiterated the importance of making the most of the qualities of the players present, even if the club had to face some difficulties in the transfer phase.
In the context of the next match, the coach calmly spoke about the expectations for the team. “We are trained to face difficulties, even in a positive way,” he observed, referring to the match against Lazio. Although the match is not decisive, Cherubini underlined its importance, inviting the players to seize the positive moments of the last matches. He also highlighted the need to work on the psychological approach, citing the example of the match against Lazio in which the first half was played well but the second half showed gaps.
Finally, the coach closed his speech with a motivational message. “There will be some tomorrow,” he said, referring to the pressures the team will face. He expressed confidence in the players' ability to restart with the best of each, hoping that the team can transform this energy into concrete results. With the match against Lazio scheduled, Parma is preparing to deploy its tactical flexibility and determination to face challenges with a positive approach.
