The Football Federation of the Valencian Community (FFCV) has decided to suspend all official matches that were scheduled for Sunday, October 18 in the provinces of Valencia and Alicante, following the red alert issued by the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET). The measure affects all competitions played in these provinces, including leagues and cups, and also prohibits the holding of friendly matches in the affected areas.
In Castellón the situation is different: meetings that do not require travel from other provinces of the Valencian Community remain unchanged. The federation has made it clear that the suspension applies only to matches played within the provinces of Valencia and Alicante.
To manage any incidents that may arise as a result of this decision, the FFCV has enabled the email addressahora@ffcv.es, where clubs and authorities can report any eventuality related to the suspension of matches.
With the red alert, the federation seeks to guarantee the safety of players, coaches and fans in the face of adverse weather conditions expected for the weekend. Matches that are canceled will be rescheduled on the calendar when the weather situation allows, following the guidelines of the federation and the competent authorities.
