The Milan-Inter derby, known as the "Derby della Madonnina", is one of the matches richest in stories of passages between the two clubs. Among the most curious protagonists are the so-called "double exes", players who have worn both shirts and, in many cases, have had a significant impact on both teams. The TMW-TUTTOmercatoWEB article lists an alphabetical list of these players, illustrating their appearances, goals and roles played.
The text starts from the example of HakanCalhanoglu, the only player who has played for both teams continuously: 172 appearances and 32 goals for Milan between 2017 and 2021, then 222 appearances and 53 goals for Inter from 2021 to today. The figure of ZlatanIbrahimovic is also mentioned, who had two periods at Milan (2010-2012 and 2020-2023) with 163 appearances and 93 goals, and a period at Inter (2006-2009) with 117 appearances and 66 goals, highlighting how he altered the balance of both teams.
Other notable names include FrancescoAcerbi, RobertoBaggio, EdgarDavids, EnnioCandiani, GiuseppeFavalli, AndrésGuglielminpietro, HernánCrespo, KevinMartins, Leonardo, GiuseppeMeazza, NazzarenoCanuti, OsvaldoBagnoli, AndreaPirlo, Ronaldo, ClarenceSeedorf, GiovanniTrapattoni, UmitDavala, ChristianVieri, TariboWest and AlbertoZaccheroni. For each, the quantity of appearances and goals, if any, both on the pitch and on the bench is indicated, distinguishing between the two teams. Some, like UmitDavala, had a formal presence in only one of the clubs, while others, like OsvaldoBagnoli, had different roles: footballer at Milan and coach at Inter.
The story highlights how these double exes contributed to defining the identity of both teams, although not always with the same levels of success. Some, like Pirlo, had a more technical role at Inter after a brilliant career at Milan, while others, like Vieri, had a more marked impact in one of the two teams. The article concludes with a short list of other news and a reference to the derby of 31 October 2004, when Messina won the Strait derby, but mainly focuses on the list of double exes.
