Inter Milan is preparing for a Champions League duel against Belgian club Brugge, a match that promises a return for YannSommer to the SanSiro. The Swiss goalkeeper, who was in the Inter squad until a few months ago, will once again defend the goal of the blue and black team, this time as a visitor. The event takes place on Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. at the Inter stadium, with the intention of the Italian club recovering the point lost in its first day of the competition, after a defeat against Real Madrid.
The color derby between both teams, which share the same color combination, comes with high morale. Inter, after the loss against Real Madrid, wants to start strongly and take advantage of the experience of players like LautaroMartínez, who, despite having played only half an hour against Parma on Saturday, will start the match. For their part, Brugge also emerged from their initial defeat, this time against AstonVilla, and are looking to consolidate their position in the group stage.
The probable lineups reflect the coaches' confidence in their squads. Inter will have JosepMartínez in goal, Bisseck, Akanji and Bastoni in defense, Diouf, Barella, Çalhanoglu, Zielinski and Dimarco in midfield, and LautaroMartínez together with MarcusThuram in attack. Bruges, for their part, will have Sommer as goalkeeper, with Sabbe, Han-BeomLee, Mechele and Seys in defense, Vetlesen and Potts in midfield, and Carlos Forbs, Vanaken, JanVirgili and Tresoldi in the attacking front. The assigned referee will be RohitSaggi from Norway.
In terms of physical preparation, Inter have had to manage some muscle problems, especially with JohnStones and CurtisJones, which could limit their availability. However, the coach has opted for a gala eleven, betting on quality and experience in a crucial match for qualification to the next phase. Bruges, for their part, will have the presence of JanVirgili, who is expected to provide dynamism on the left wing.
The match not only represents an opportunity for Inter to recover the lost point, but also a stage where YannSommer will be able to demonstrate his quality in the Champions League once again. With both teams looking to consolidate their position in the group stage, the match promises to be a tactical and exciting duel that will decide who advances and who falls behind in the standings.
