Barcelona coach HansiFlick addressed the media before the match against Alavés, scheduled for this Saturday at 9:00 p.m. at the Camp Nou, and highlighted the attitude of his key players. At the press conference, Flick was particularly proud of LamineYamal and optimistic about Raphinha, despite Yamal's recent disappointment at not receiving the Ballon d'Or and Raphinha's difficult situation with the Brazilian national team.
The match is presented as a challenge after two consecutive defeats for Barça: 4-2 against PSG in the Champions League and 1-2 against Real Madrid in LaLiga, which have interrupted the streak of eleven official victories that the Barça team had maintained since the beginning of the season. In this context, Flick emphasizes the need to have the best versions of his players to return to the path of excellence.
As for Yamal, Flick stated that the young winger “is at the level to win the Ballon d'Or” and that his performance in training has been exemplary. “His mentality is that of a champion and I feel very proud of him,” commented the coach. The coach recalled the recognition that Yamal received as Best Talent, noting that the player has shown constant growth in the last two years and that his contribution to the club is invaluable.
Regarding Raphinha, Flick expressed his hope that the Brazilian could better manage his minutes between club and national team. "It is a topic that I have talked about with Deco. Raphinha is a very important player for us and, after his last injury with Brazil, the situation was not the best," he explained. Flick added that, although the Barça captain has a strong bond with the club, he must also attend to the calls from his country. "After the World Cup, the dynamic changes and everyone wants to be available to help. If you can manage their minutes a little, I will be happy," he concluded.
The coach concluded that, despite the recent ups and downs, the team remains focused on short-term goals and preparation for the upcoming matches. With confidence in Yamal and hope for better coordination with Raphinha, Flick hopes Barcelona can regain their form and continue competing at the highest level.
