Sassuolo will face Lazio in the first match of the midweek round of Serie A, with the two teams having official line-ups already confirmed. Coach Alberto Aquilani decided to keep the archive of Gianluigi Turati between the posts, but made numerous changes on the pitch, while Lazio, led by Gennaro Gattuso, introduced Diogo Leite in defense from the first minute, replacing the former captain, Pinamonti, who remains on the bench.
In Sassuolo the formation was announced as 4‑3‑3. After Turati, full-backs Cinquegrano, Caleta‑Car and Odenthal embrace the flank, with Doig, Thorstvedt, Lipani, Bakola and Berardi making up the central line. The attack is completed by Esposito and Laurentié, while the bench is full of reserves: Satallino, Muric, Cande, Walukiewicz, Volpato, Ghion, Bowie, Adžić, Matić, Van Der Brempt, Idzes, Dominguez, Obrador, Sulemana and Pierini. The coach has focused on a solid defense and a fast attack, with a mix of young and experienced players.
Lazio, on the other hand, also opted for a 4‑3‑3. Goalkeeper Mandas remains on the pitch, while the defense is made up of Floriani, Sutalo, Diogo Leite and Nuno Tavares. The midfield is managed by Frattesi, Belahyane and Taylor, with Isaksen, Noslin and Zaccagni completing the attack. On the bench we find Motta, Renzetti, Doekhi, Provstgaard, Lazzari, Pedraza, Pellegrini, Cataldi, Dele-Bashiru, Przyborek, Farcomeni, Cancellieri, Serra and Pinamonti. Gattuso has chosen to give space to key players such as Diogo Leite, who has proven to be a fundamental element in the defense, and to keep Pinamonti waiting for a possible entry onto the pitch.
The two teams are preparing for a match that promises to be hard-fought, with Sassuolo trying to consolidate their position in the league table and Lazio trying to turn the situation around after a series of mixed results. With the presence of new elements in both rosters, fans can expect a dynamic matchup full of decisive moments.
