On an exciting night, the London Palladium hosted the 2026 Ballon d’Or award ceremony, where English striker Harry Kane, a Bayern Munich player, was honored with a rare opportunity that made him the first Englishman to win this award in nearly eight years. This achievement came after former Brazilian striker Ronaldo, who had dedicated the award to Kane, announced his victory, adding a new dimension to Kane's career, which began with Arsenal and then moved through difficult loans before achieving real success with Tottenham and Bayern Munich.
It is noteworthy that Kane, who joined Bayern Munich in the summer of 2024, has since become one of the most prominent players in the German League, contributing to achieving decisive goals and raising the team’s level in European competitions. This year, he showed exceptional performance, making him worthy of global recognition in the form of the Ballon d'Or, which is awarded by France Football magazine and is considered the highest honor in the world of football.
Following his coronation, Ken expressed his deep happiness, noting that winning is more than just a personal achievement, but rather the fulfillment of a dream since his childhood. He said that his heart was beating hard when he heard his name, and pointed out that Ronaldo had been his role model since childhood, and that he felt that the victory reflected the efforts made by everyone around him. He also pointed out that this award motivates him to continue striving for the best, while promising to try to win it again next year.
In the same context, Ken expressed his gratitude to the family and friends who shared this moment with him, stressing that the award is not just an individual achievement but rather the result of sacrifice and teamwork. He also pointed out that continuous training and effort create a feeling of belonging to a stage in his life, which drives him to continue improving his level and providing the best for the team and the field.
Kane is expected to continue his career with Bayern Munich next season, with his focus on achieving new goals in the Bundesliga and Champions League. He is also expected to remain at the top of the Ballon d'Or qualifiers in the future, with his growing fan support and increasing global recognition.
