Juventus has the opportunity for redemption after a slow restart in Serie A, thanks to this evening's match against Celta Vigo, which will take place at 9pm on the Celta pitch and represents the second day of the group stage of the UEFA Europa League. The Bianconeri have already opened the tournament with a convincing 5‑0 victory over Dutch team NEC and are now preparing to defend their top position in the table.
Coach Luciano Spalletti announced a slightly different formation compared to the usual choices, opting for a 4‑2‑3‑1 with the possibility of a three-man defence. In particular, midfielder McKennie will be accompanied by Cambiaso on the wing, while Kelly will replace Lucumi in defence. On the offensive front, the midfield will be occupied by Koopmeiners, who will replace Douglas Luiz, and the striker role will be entrusted to Woltemade in place of Kolo Muani. These changes give the players mentioned the chance to contribute decisively to the match.
Celta Vigo, on the other hand, confirmed their 3‑4‑2‑1 style formation. Goalkeeper Radu was selected, with the defense consisting of J. Rodríguez, Lago and Alonso. The midfield is made up of Rueda, Moriba, Febas and Carreira, while the attack is entrusted to Alvarez and Swedberg, with Jutgla in the forward role. Coach Claudio Giraldez left Bayindir, Faye, Aspas, Nunez and Coach available.
For Juventus, the official lineup has Vicario in goal, with Kalulu, Gatti, Kelly and Cambiaso in defense. In midfield, Sarr and Koopmeiners have been chosen as the two central defenders, while Conceição, McKennie and Alajbegović complete the midfield. Striker Woltemade has been inserted into the front line, with Pinsoglio, Neto, Celik, Bremer, Kolo Muani, Douglas Luiz, Lucumi, Gonzalez and Cabal available. Coach Spalletti also left other players available for any changes.
With the match scheduled, Juventus aims to consolidate their position in the group stage, while Celta Vigo looks to maintain their competitiveness in Europe. The result of this match could influence the final standings and determine the prospects of both teams for the rest of the competition.
