AnastasiosDouvikas, Como striker, expressed great satisfaction after his brace against Sassuolo, in which he scored two goals thanks to two quality assists. During the interview with DAZN, the young Greek underlined how the team improved its performance in the second half of the match, correcting the mistakes made at the beginning and finding the right lines of play. “We did better in the second half of the game, in the first we made easy mistakes, then we found the right lines and scored two goals,” he declared, highlighting the importance of teamwork.
Como, who recently spent 40 million euros on the purchase of MoiseKean, now sees Douvikas becoming an offensive point of reference. The striker added that, in addition to his happiness with the performance, he feels he has made a concrete contribution to the team: "I'm happy, I help my team. It's my job, I received two great assists." These comments come in a context of strong pressure for the club, which must consolidate its position in SerieA after a season of struggles and important transfers.
Over the last ten days, Douvikas has already scored five goals, showing remarkable form. His role has been strengthened by the recent acquisition of Kean, who has brought a new level of competitiveness and visibility to the club. However, the question remains as to how Como can retain this talent, especially if the market moves towards high-level players. Discussions about Douvikas' future potential are intertwined with the club's transfer strategies, which seeks to balance investment and internal development.
As regards the current season, Como finds itself in a middle-class position, with the need to consolidate its standing to avoid the relegation zone. Douvikas' brace provided a morale boost, but the club still faces a number of challenges, including managing human resources and tactical planning for upcoming matches. The player's future, as well as his stay at the club, will depend on the decisions made by the management and continued performances on the pitch.
In summary, Douvikas' statement reflects his determination to contribute to Como's success, while highlighting the player's growing importance in the club's attacking strategy. With a season still underway and a number of transfers underway, Como will need to continue to build on this foundation to secure a solid position in SerieA.
