October 12th was a day of great movement on the football market, with rumours, negotiations and behind the scenes involving clubs of all categories. Venezia, still struggling with six defeats in six games, continued to make noise about the possible replacement of their coach Giovanni Stroppa. The management showed interest in names like D'Aversa, Tudor, PaoloZanetti and Gilardino, but the entire locker room proved united in its request to confirm Stroppa. Despite the disappointments, the club showed they can play with vigour, especially in attack, and showed good football in spurts against Atalanta, where they scored a goal after half an hour of difficulty.
Meanwhile, Inter have started talks with Federico Dimarco's entourage for a renewal until 2030. The player, who already has the possibility of automatically extending his contract until 2028 thanks to a unilateral option, is considered a fundamental leader of the Nerazzurri project. Inter are aiming to block his stay, while Dimarco, close to 29, remains at the center of the long-term project.
Napoli, however, is still defining the future of Scott McTominay. His contract expires in 2028 and negotiations are ongoing. The club has tried to bring the positions of the two parties closer together, but the final agreement has not yet been reached. The management of heavier salaries, such as the potential departures of Anguissa, Lobotka or DeBruyne, could influence the strategies for McTominay, who has already proven to be a technical and character reference for the Azzurri with 26 goals in two seasons.
On the international front, Brazilian full-back AgustínGiay, who left Como in the summer, is now being targeted by Milan, Napoli and Atletico Madrid. Palmeiras, however, does not intend to make discounts and requests an offer of between 20 and 25 million euros. Meanwhile, right back DaniCarvajal, after leaving Real Madrid, has decided not to stay in Spain and, in a few hours, will become a Getafe player.
Finally, the Turkish Football Federation announced that ArdaTuran will replace VincenzoMontella as national coach. Ukrainian club Shakhtar, where Turan is currently under contract, does not appear willing to release him, making the situation complex. Meanwhile, Real Madrid is accelerating negotiations for the renewal of ThibautCourtois until 30 June 2028, while Osasuna has changed coach, with JagobaArrasate returning to lead the Navarra team with a contract until 2029.
