Pau Víctor, the former FCBarcelona striker who currently works for Sporting Braga, recalled his time at Blaugrana and spoke about HansiFlick's demands during his stay at the Catalan club. In an interview with the program “Què t’hi Jugues” on SERCatalunya, Víctor confessed that under the direction of Flick “it is as hard as it seems from the outside” and that in several training sessions he felt dizzy due to the intensity of the demands.
The forward, who has shown good performance in his second season with Braga, where he has already scored five goals in twelve games, expressed his satisfaction with GerardMartín's ownership at Barça. Víctor recalled that Martín went from the reserve team to the first team and that, although he did not expect it, he is not surprised by the performance he is delivering. According to him, Martín's greatest quality is his “work in silence”, his desire to improve every day and the dedication he shows in the video sessions.
“Flick prefers players who stay in the gym after training and highly values those small details,” explained Víctor. He added that the relationship he had with Martín, when they shared a locker room, has become a friendship that he treasures and will keep forever.
Regarding the general performance of the Barça team, Víctor highlighted the figure of Raphinha, whom he described as spectacular for his ability to defend and attack simultaneously, and for his constant ability to score goals. “He is an incredible player, but as a person he is even better,” he concluded.
As the season progresses, Víctor continues to establish himself as a key player for Sporting Braga, while Barça continues to evaluate the impact of its new talents and the influence of Flick's philosophy on the squad. The next phase of the calendar for both teams promises more moments of high performance and the possibility of Víctor continuing to demonstrate his quality in the Portuguese league.
